Puppet Making with Helen O’Connor

Make a magical puppet using tissue paper and tubes of cardboard. Add scraps of material, wool and paint to bring the creation to life. Students love this project. Lots of fun and easy to incorporate into any curriculum.

Material Required:

Coloured tissue paper, cardboard tubes, white glue, plastic lids, material scraps, wool, paint and brushes, tacky glue, buttons or jiggly eyes.

Helen O’Connor

Helen O’Connor is well known for her interesting work as visual artist working in a variety of media: watercolour, acrylic, encaustic, willow sculpture, papermaking, printmaking, mural painting and bookmaking.  She presents engaging arts programming that always produces enthusiastic learning. Helen enjoys travelling to communities to share her many project ideas with children.
