Introduction to Papermaking with Helen O’Connor

Make colourful works of art with coloured cotton paper pulp. Students will learn the process of making paper with blenders, cotton linters and screens. The program teaches papermaking using a variety of fibres and inclusions as well as the technique of pulp painting. A variety of techniques will be demonstrated to make multicoloured paper art. Kids love this project.

Helen O’Connor

Helen O’Connor is well known for her interesting work as visual artist working in a variety of media: watercolour, acrylic, encaustic, willow sculpture, papermaking, printmaking, mural painting and bookmaking.  She presents engaging arts programming that always produces enthusiastic learning. Helen enjoys travelling to communities to share her many project ideas with children.
