Paint Yourself in Caricature Form with Juliann Fraser

Using acrylic paints and with guided instruction on how to exaggerate facial features, Juliann will help students make a self-portrait. Attention will be given to the colour wheel and colour mixing, complementary colours, facial dimensions, and shading. Children will need to bring a photograph of themselves to work with.

School provides: brushes, water jugs, paper towels. Artist provides: paints, canvases.

Material Cost:

$2 per child, or school to provide canvas and paints.

Juliann Fraser

Juliann has illustrated two children’s books and specializes in painting people, mainly in caricature or cartoon form, in watercolour and acrylic. She has painted murals for MacBride Museum and the RCMP.
