Mask and Puppet Building with Susie Anne Bartsch

Teachers can choose either a mask project or a puppet project. Projects will be made age-appropriate.

Susie Anne Bartsch

Susie Anne Bartsch has been passionate about theatre, performance, mask-building and puppets since she learned such things existed as a child. She grew up in the heart of a professional theatre community in British Columbia working with such companies as the celebrated Caravan Farm Theatre in Armstrong, BC. She apprenticed in props, masks and set construction through the Western Canada Theatre Company in Kamloops, studied theatre at UVic and has worked professionally ever since as a props builder, giant puppet maker, production manager and teacher. She loves creating an environment for kids and adults to explore the magical world of theatre in all its aspects.

Susie Anne also teaches Nia Technique, a dance movement program incorporating great music, martial arts, and dance choreography suitable for all ages.
