Drama and Performance in Situ (Unusual Space) with Véronique Lachance

In situ is a Latin phrase that translates literally to “on site” or “in position”. It means “locally”, “on site”, “on the premises” or “in place”.

Véronique Lachance

Originally from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Véronique is a multidisciplinary artist. She graduated from UQÀM (Montreal) as a performer for theatre. She also works on installation projects which she includes in performances. A performer and the co-artistic director of the multidisciplinary collective 1 | Grande Surface based in Montreal, she has also collaborated with the bilingual theatre company The Other Theatre. She has worked as a teacher of theatre in after school programs in Quebec and France,teaching people in a process of social reintegration. As a teacher, she focuses on devised theatre with physical improvs, writing and work in the space. Currently based in Whitehorse, she continues her work as an artist and teaches theatre in the community of Carcross and at Heart of Riverdale.
